I'm Jeremy, a product designer in Seattle. For most of my career I designed software: watching how people actually work, prototyping, and testing with them until the design got out of their way. In 2024 I got my first 3D printer and started doing the same thing with physical products.

I share early versions of my designs online, where thousands of people with 3D printers make them, use them, and tell me what they think. The products here are the improved versions, built on all of that feedback.

My wife is a fiber artist with Washington State Fair ribbons for her knitting, which is why the first product line is for fiber artists. Notions in Motion started with our own project bags, where every tool ended up loose at the bottom. We use the kits ourselves: hers for knitting and crochet, mine for sewing and embroidery.

Everything is printed to order in your color, so it stays light and travels well. We use metal hardware for parts that take strain.
